Giving

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it” -Psalm 24:1

From a Christian perspective, all that we possess we first received from the Lord. The lifelong stewardship of God’s gifts is an important aspect of our discipleship. It is a spiritual practice that allows us to offer back a portion of what was so graciously given to us by God. Our offerings also allow for God’s kingdom to be furthered here on earth so that others can receive the necessities of a life of dignity.

There are several safe and secure methods of giving which provide convenient ways to offer our tithes and financially contribute to First Presbyterian Church.

Weekend Services: Simply place cash or checks in the offering plate during the collection at any weekend service. Be sure to include your name and address on the check or envelope, so that donation credit may be provided for tax purposes.

By mail: Mail your donation to First Presbyterian Church, Westfield, NY 14787. Be sure to include your name and address on the check or envelope so that donation credit may be provided for tax purposes.

Online Giving: Online giving allows for a specific dollar amount to be deducted automatically from a credit card. You can set up online giving either as a one-time donation or a recurring gift. This option helps individuals and families remain faithful in their giving even when they are out of town or unable to attend a weekend service. (Coming soon!)

Pledging online: Pledging gives the church a priority in our lives and is part of our covenant of faith. Making a commitment in the form of a pledge helps us to be regular and systematic in our giving and lets the church know it can count on our financial support. Pledging is based on a percent of total household income and is a model to give on a consistent basis. You can fill out the online form and it will automatically be sent to the church. (Coming soon!)
